DrawPile is an open source drawing program, used for creating sketches. Among others, it enables the users to share the drawing live and draw simultaneously on the same picture. Main features:

- Image may be rotated freely while drawing

The latest version available is DrawPile 0.9.6, which has been recently released, coming with the below changes:
- Added connection timeout check
- Added keepalive messages
- Automatically switch stroke preview mode based on latency
- Added zoom and angle shortcut context menus to status bar
- Added network statistics dialog
- Color picker cursor is now set when quick colorpicking
- Simplified navigator dock
In this article I will show you how to install DrawPile 0.9.6 on Ubuntu 14.10 Utopic Unicorn, Ubuntu 14.04 Trusty Tahr, Linux Mint 17.1 Rebecca, Linux Mint 17 Qiana, Pinguy OS 14.04, Elementary OS 0.3 Freya, Peppermint Five, Deepin 2014, LXLE 14.04, Linux Lite 2.0 and other Ubuntu derivative systems.
Follow the instructions for your system exactly, in order to get a successful installation.
How to install DrawPile 0.9.6 on Ubuntu 14.10 and derivative systems:
$ wget -q -O - http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add -
$ sudo sh -c 'echo "deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu utopic-getdeb apps" >> /etc/apt/sources.list.d/getdeb.list'
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install drawpile

How to install DrawPile 0.9.6 on Ubuntu 14.04 and derivative systems
